• 30 years banking experience in the areas of Corporate Credit/Project Financ-ing/SME lending & Micro Finance together with 5 years experience in the engi-neering field.
• In August 2015 successfully completed a World Bank assignment (with German Finance Consult team www.germanfinanceconsult.com) to ascertain the training needs of Indian Banks and financial institutions to lend against movable asset. (ie Stocks, Accounts receivables, Factoring, equipment ,book debts, etc)
• From November 2012 to date functioning as freelance/part-time consultant at Development Concepts(DC) a leading establishment involved in research &,environmental studies, training of entrepreneurs and bankers as well as preparation of project feasibility studies in Sri Lanka as well as South East Asia.
• From November 2011 to October 2012 functioned as a Credit Consultant at De-shodaya Finance Company which is a fully owned subsidiary of Sarvodaya Economic Enterprise Development Services (Gte) Ltd (SEEDS).
• From March 2010to November 2011 functioned as Chief Manager Project Finance at Union Bank PLC and was responsible for setting up Project Finance /SME/Microfinance and Rural Credit units of Union Bank
• Previously held positions of Chief Manager Project Finance and Advisor Project Finance(After retirement from Permanent Service in August 2009)) at Hatton National Bank plc handling Corporate Project portfolio (FCBU & SLRS) as well as SME Loans ( A portfolio of approximately Rs 13 Bn).
• Obtained qualifications in the fields of Engineering, Banking, Business Adminis-tration and Marketing.
• Gained a comprehensive knowledge and experience in Marketing, Evaluating, Monitoring & follow-up of Commercial & Project Loans, Loan Syndication, Packaging, as well as Project Restructuring.
• Posses a high degree of technical skills in Analysis and interpretation of Finan-cial Statements, Financial Modeling, Capital Budgeting, Sensitivity and Risk Analysis Techniques.
• Have participated in specialized training programmes in Netherlands, Thailand, Singapore and India. Have also represented the bank at several International Seminars.
• Over 25 years experience in liaising with donor agencies such as World Bank, ADB etc. and handling of Refinance Credit Lines.as well as Central Bank of Sri Lanka credit guarantee schemes.
• I have gained specialized knowledge in financing Renewable Energy Projects, Large resort projects in Maldives, Real Estates, Garments, Manufacturing, In-dustrial Services and Food & Beverages sector etc.
